We started to develop the Antiques Business in June 2000 and from that developed
a strong interest in Antique and Collectable items dating from the 1930s
and earlier period. We both have a great love of antique furniture and this
is the area in which we specialise and have been very successful. To date
we have sold thousands of pieces of good quality antique furniture.
Our stock is sourced from many house clearances, local sellers and just plain
searching around which involves many hours of sometimes fruitless pursuit,
but eventually leads us to the many treasures that we are able to offer here
on our Web Site which we see as an extension of our East Sussex based business.
We aim to offer as wide a range of items as possible as we understand very
well that customer’s tastes and choices are varied and our philosophy
is simply that customer satisfaction is our first priority and we will do
whatever we can to supply them with what they want at a realistic market
price.
We have previous experience in the Antique Trade having owned a shop
in Heathfield, East Sussex. We were successful to an extent, but felt that
we were unable to take our experience and quality antiques to a large enough
audience from such a rural location, hence we started to trade on Ebay and
through our website. This quickly proved to be very successful, and we began
operating from a store where a much wider range of stock could be carried,
and with reduced overheads, we could offer our stock at realistic prices.
Many customers have asked if they can visit us, and we are happy for them
to do so by appointment, which can generally be arranged to suit any time.
We also able to offer a nationwide personal delivery service at very realistic
prices, and a worldwide service via a reputable and very competitive Shipper.
